Countax is best known for rear-discharge garden tractors with powered grass collectors, built to cut and collect effectively in challenging British lawn conditions. Popular ranges include the C Series, B Series, A Series and K Series, with the distinctive Powered Grass Collector remaining a defining feature of the brand. On Garden Tractor Spares you can find genuine Countax parts and accessories covering engine and fuel components, electrical and ignition parts, seats and bodywork, steering and controls, and transmission and drive items. Founded in 1984 and still designed and built in Great Haseley, Oxfordshire, Countax has earned a strong reputation for practical British engineering.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why has my Countax PGC stopped collecting properly?
On Countax tractors, weak collection is often caused by a worn PGC brush or PGC drive belt rather than a fault with the cutter deck. Check that the brush is only sweeping the ground lightly, as it is height-adjustable and can lose performance if set incorrectly.
My Countax cuts out but still cranks, what should I check?
If the engine turns over but will not start, a safety switch is a common cause on Countax machines. Check the seat switch, PGC switch and deck engagement switch first, as one faulty interlock can stop starting even when the engine itself is fine.
Are Countax and Westwood parts the same?
Many Countax and Westwood tractors share parts because they were built in the same Oxfordshire factory, but they are not all identical across every model and year. Use the serial plate details from your tractor before ordering, as belts, decks and other components changed during production.
